TATTERSALL HEADS KINGSMERE CLEAR AT CASTLE MEADOW
One header settled a tight afternoon at Castlebridge City. Six league wins in a row, and Kingsmere stay top of the Meridian League.
For 75 minutes this was a game nobody wanted to lose. Castlebridge sat deep, Kingsmere kept the ball, and the chances were rare. Then the bench changed it: Sam Tattersall, on the pitch for four minutes, met Gareth Pennington’s cross at the near post with a header the keeper saw late.
“We didn’t play our best and we still found a way,” head coach Charlie Denby said afterwards. “That’s the part you can’t coach. Six in a row is nice. The next one is the only one I care about.”
