PHASE TWO: WHAT THE NEW STAND WILL FEEL LIKE

PHASE TWO: WHAT THE NEW STAND WILL FEEL LIKE

The steel is up on 4,200 new seats at Kingsmere Road, with completion targeted for 2027. We walk the renderings, row by row.

Capacity rises past 33,000, with a single-tier home end designed to keep the noise in and the wind out. The new roof ties into the old main stand, so the ground finally closes in on all four sides.

The renderings, published in Friday’s briefing, show a steeper rake and a concourse twice the width of the old one. “It’s built for atmosphere first,” the project lead said. “Comfort second, but a close second.”
