George Coulson, 20: seven clean sheets and counting

Saturday’s 1-0 win over Bramwell FC was George Coulson’s seventh clean sheet of the season, and every one of the seven came at Station Ground.

Ervin Town have conceded 11 goals in 15 league games, the second-best defensive record in the Meridian League behind Northfield United. Coulson turns 21 next month.

“George talks all game,” defender Álvaro Salgado said. “You always know where he wants you. That’s worth as much as the saves.”

Adam Greenhalgh’s 77th-minute header won Saturday’s game. Northfield United are next at Station Ground.
