New floodlights for Harwick Park
Four new LED floodlight towers go up at Harwick Park this month. They’ll be switched on for the first time for the visit of Ervin Town on Saturday 26 September.
The old lights dated from 1987. The new towers use less than half the power, light the pitch evenly corner to corner, and meet the league’s broadcast standard, which means evening kick-offs at Harwick Park can go on television for the first time.
Work runs on weekdays only, so there’s no change to matchday access. The car park behind the North Stand is closed until the last tower is up.
