Ervin Town Women win at Station Ground

Ervin Town Women beat Redcliffe Albion Women 3-1 at Station Ground on Thursday night, in front of 1,840, the biggest crowd of their season.

Two goals in the first half hour settled the nerves. Redcliffe pulled one back early in the second half and pressed for an equaliser, but a counter-attack in the 84th minute finished it.

“Playing at Station Ground under the lights is what the squad trains all week for,” the Women’s head coach said. “We’d like a crowd like that every time.”

The Women’s next three home games are at Station Ground, and season ticket holders get in free.
