Barbier’s early strike sees off Bramwell
One goal on 24 minutes, one clean sheet, and a second home win in eight days. Harwick beat Bramwell 1-0 in front of 18,530 at Harwick Park.
Bastien Barbier made the difference early. Harwick won the ball back high on the right, it broke to the edge of the box, and Barbier hit it first time across the keeper and in off the far post. After that Harwick kept the ball, 61 percent of it, and gave Bramwell very little to aim at.
“The second half wasn’t pretty and I don’t mind,” head coach Ethan Thorne said. “A week ago we scored four. Tonight we needed one and we kept the door shut. That’s two different teams winning, and it’s the same group of players.”
Next up: Ervin Town at Harwick Park on Saturday, 3pm.
